While machines and production lines are being built or adapted, the engineers are often confronted with many questions and a lack of clarity regarding the EC marks.

Many engineers are often asked the following questions:

• Must the machine have an EC mark?
• Must a Notified Body be engaged?
• What guidelines and norms apply?
• Must I apply a new EC mark after I have adapted a machine?
• I am building part of a machine; do I also have to apply an EC mark to this?
• A production line is being put together with several machines with EC marks. Must an EC mark be applied to the entire line?

ATG developed the CE Quick Scan in order to deal with these uncertainties. The CE Quick Scan will look at what guidelines and norms your machine or production line must satisfy and what steps must be taken in order for the machine or production line to comply with these guidelines and norms.

The CE Quick Scan can be seen as the first investigative phase of compulsory risk assessment.

The cost of carrying out the CE Quick Scan comes to €1,040.00 per machine or production line. Travelling expenses will be charged at €0.40 per kilometre and €75.00 per hour travelled. All prices stated exclude VAT.
